British Academy grant success for Humanities and Social Sciences lecturers
We are pleased to announce that the British Academy has recently awarded two research grants to staff within the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Bronwen Walter, Professor of Irish Diaspora Studies, has received £6,550 for her project entitled "Citizenship and Genealogy: multi-generational Irish identities in New Zealand, Newfoundland and England." She will also be facilitating some exploratory workshops with academics and meetings with policymakers in New Zealand and Newfoundland next year.
Dr Anna Markovska, (Pathway Leader for Criminology and Course Convener for the MA Transnational Crime), received £6,500 for her project entitled "Migrant Workers and Crime: where King's Lynn meets Moscow," which is a collaboration with a colleague employed at the Russian branch of the International Organisation for Migration.
Many congratulations to both Bronwen and Anna.
