Anglia Ruskin lecturer to chair Donald Gray Prize Panel
Rohan McWilliam (History) has become Chair of Judges for the Donald Gray Prize of the North American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA). The prize is given to the best article about Victorian Britain published in an academic journal during the course of the year. NAVSA is the main North American organisation devoted to the promotion of Victorian Studies. Its annual conference is always a major event and it has links to the journal Victorian Studies which is published by Indiana University. The prize is named after one of the founders of Victorian Studies.
NAVSA prides itself on being an interdisciplinary organisation attracting scholars in History, Literature and History of Art. A panel drawn from the different academic disciplines read through articles that have been nominated by an assortment of journals in 2008. The prize will be awarded later in the summer.
