Senior Lecturer blogs on Huffington Post

Julian Constable

Julian Constable

Senior Lecturer in Public Service Julian Constable has set up a blogspot on the Huffington Post UK website.

His first entry, titled 'British Is Best? Don't Believe the Hype...', examines the constitution of the British police force, with particular focus on senior officers employed directly into the higher ranks without basic training and the question of employing officers who do not have British nationality.

Julian began his working life in the police force before going on to study for a BA and MA, focusing on masculinity and psychoanalysis. Since joining Anglia Ruskin University he has been working towards an MPhil/PhD on initial police training.

The Huffington Post is an American news site set up in 2005 by Arianna Huffington, with the UK version being launched in 2011. It attracts a large number of bloggers on a variety of subjects. We look forward to reading more entries from Julian in the future.
