Annie Morgan-James teaches English Language and Area Studies modules.

She was formerly Head of English Language Studies, having come from a background of lecturing and researching in English language and culture.

She teaches modules in European Cinema, British Cinema and Advanced English at undergraduate level. Her research has been in areas of language, identity and cultural awareness in the language teaching classroom. She has investigated and written about the Erasmus student experience at Anglia Ruskin with particular reference to the Advanced English Learner. Her doctoral research is in Scottish representation in film and she has published widely in this area. She is a visiting lecturer at universities in France and Italy, and has been extensively involved in promoting the integration of English Language and Modern Foreign Languages in undergraduate degree programmes.
