Leah completed a PhD in Medieval French Literature at Durham University, specifically looking at early medieval works of continuation and their mechanics, both in a textual and manuscriptural sense. Since finishing her PhD, she spent a year working in Durham's Development and Alumni Relations Office and then moved to Anglia Ruskin to take up a post as a Research Fellow for the Cultures of the Digital Economy (CoDE) Research Institute and lecturing on the MA Publishing.
Following a Visiting Fellowship at CODEC, St John's College, Durham, she is now Senior Lecturer and Acting Course Leader on the MA Publishing whilst on a secondment from her CoDE post. Leah has a background in trade publishing, having spent time as an editor at Penguin Books and having been responsible for editing Durham University's alumni magazine.
Her current research focuses on manuscript digitisation and the complex questions raised by the practice, as well as reading cultures and paratexts in publishing.
