A remarkably subtle, witty and sophisticated writer, Elizabeth Taylor is still surprisingly little known although her name appears regularly on lists of underrated writers and two of her novels, Angel and Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont, have made successful films.

2012 marks the centenary of Taylor's birth - a timely opportunity for a critical assessment of her significance.The conference will consider the full range of her publications from her first novel At Mrs Lippincote's to her children's book, Mossy Trotter.

Participants include: John Brannigan, Erica Brown, Alice Ferrebe, Maud Ellmann, Elizabeth Maslen, Faith Pullin, Victoria Stewart.

The colloquium will take place in Rooms LAB 027 and 028 in the Lord Ashcroft Building on Anglia Ruskin's Cambridge campus. Information on travelling to and around the campus can be found on the main Anglia Ruskin University website.

Friday evening meal

We have booked a table in at local restaurant CB2 for 7.15, for anyone who will be in Cambridge on the Friday evening. Please make your own way there and let us know if you are coming.
