Reuters News Agency Chief Sub-Editor and former correspondent Paul Casciato gives his view about the battle for control of information, the independence of journalism in action and why it matters.
Paul Casciato is currently a Chief Sub-Editor for Reuters News Agency's Reuters Life! service. Before taking on that role he was a senior sub-editor on the London World Desk for seven years and occasional roving foreign correspondent whose reporting assignments have taken him to the Balkans, East Africa, Jerusalem, the West Bank, Washington, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq. He has also reported on business news for Reuters in London and North America, covering bonds, equities, foreign exchange and global policymakers in finance and government.
