MA Publishing announces scholarship winners for 2012-13
The MA Publishing course welcomed more new students in September 2012 and announced its annual scholarship and bursary winners.
The Cambridge University Press bursary, which is running for the second year, is presented to the student judged to have published the best blog (links below). This year, the award was awarded jointly to Gladys Famoriyo and Nicola Sherry who receive £600 each.
Victoria Parrin was the winner of the AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council) award, and receives the final AHRC Block Grant Partnership Capacity Building award, which was granted to the MA Publishing for 2011-13. She receives a bursary in line with the AHRC's current rate, as well as a full fee waiver.
The Stationers' Foundation (the charitable arm of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers) awards an annual bursary of £6,000 to the student who best meets a number of criteria following a successful interview at the Stationers' Hall in London. This year's winner Shelley Hale also benefits from the opportunity of receiving mentoring sessions from a Stationer appropriate to her specific interests.
