Anglia Ruskin's new Publishing team held their first open event on November 20th - inviting people to come and have a go with Ebook Readers, this year's must have gadget. Peter Blanchard, MD of Libresco, who distribute the Iliad Readers in the UK came to give an introductory talk and Cambridge University Press sponsored the evening, which was held at their bookshop in town. Lively discussion and interaction with the Readers launched the Ebook and Ebook Reader Project, part of the University's ArcDigital Research Centre. This should give our researchers and students access to some of the most exciting developments in publishing today.

The new MA in Publishing will begin in September 2009, and anyone interested in finding out more about the course can contact Dr Samantha Rayner.
