Dr Joss Hands to talk on 'The State of Things'
Dr Joss Hands is due to give a paper titled 'Protocol; Norm; Imperative: Networks as Moral Machines' as part of a conference at Leicester University called 'The State of Things' to be held between 29 April and 1 May 2009. He recently gave an invited paper on 11 March 2009 at Nottingham University's Centre for Critical Theory titled 'Constructing the Common: The Politics of Cooperation in Digital Activism' as part of the 'Critical Cultures' seminar series.
He has also had a paper accepted at the ANZCA conference in July at Queensland University of Technology in Australia titled 'Digital Hybridity: Multiplicity and Mobilisation in Multiplatform Broadcasting' and is currently working on his monograph, '@ is for Activism', in contract with Pluto Press.
