New research centre for Digital Culture holds inaugural event
Dr Simon Payne and Dr Jussi Parikka organized the inaugural event of the Anglia Research Centre for Digital Culture (ArcDigital) in November 2008.
The event Time Based Media Arts included presentations by Dr Charlie Gere (Lancaster) and other theorists as well as creative practice work dealing with the notion of temporality. ArcDigital, co-directed by Parikka and Dr Joss Hands, consolidates the critical theoretical and creative practice research at Anglia Ruskin relating to new and emerging technologies and cultures of media.
