Funding successes for ECFM staff

Congratulations to the following English, Communication, Film and Media staff, who have been successful in their recent bids for funding:
Dr Tory Young


Dr Tory Young has been awarded £5050 for her British Academy / AHRC project 'The Future of Feminist Narratology'. She will host a symposium at Anglia Ruskin on the same subject on 12 October 2013.



Dr Jeannette Baxter has been awarded £3600 for her British Academy / AHRC project entitled 'Exquisite Corpse: Literature/Surrealism/Fascism'.

Melanie Bell


Melanie Bell has been awarded £7200 from the British Academy's Skills Acquisition Awards, which will enable her to visit a German Institution to develop her quantitative skills.




Dr Patricia MacCormack


Dr Patricia MacCormack has been awarded a 3-month Leverhulme International Fellowship, to be taken up at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Semester 1 of 2013-14.




Dr Leah Tether

In addition to these, Dr Leah Tether's bid for £9000 of a British Academy Small Grant in collaboration with Durham University for a project entitled 'The Value of the Written Word in the Digital Age' is in the 'approved' stage, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
