Bursaries
MA PublishingThere are three annual bursaries available to applicants of our MA Publishing course:
Stationers' Foundation bursary
The Stationers' Foundation bursary offers our MA Publishing applicants a bursary of £6,000 and, in addition, mentoring from an appropriate Stationer taking into account the recipients specific interests (conditions apply). The Stationers' Foundation is the charitable arm of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers which supports a wide range of educational initiatives from primary through to postgraduate education. Only six Universities were selected for the bursary scheme.Applicants for the Stationers' Foundation bursary must normally be under 25 on 1 September 2013, resident in the UK, and classified as paying UK tuition fees. If you are between 25 and 30 and wish to apply, please discuss your application with the Course Leader, Leah Tether.
Cambridge University Press bursary
The Cambridge University Press bursary offers a reduction on tuition fees of £1200 for the academic year 2012/13. It is available to holders of unconditional or conditional offers for the full-time MA Publishing at Anglia Ruskin University who accept their offer by 26 July 2013.
AHRC-funded studentship
Anglia Ruskin University has received an AHRC Block Grant Partnership Capacity Building award for 2011-13. Applications for studentships are invited for our MA Publishing course.Successful applicants will receive a bursary at the AHRC rate, a fee waiver and access to dedicated specialist training spaces.

Internships
The Shakespeare and Co Internship opportunity offers one student from our MA Creative Writing, MA English Literature or MA Publishing courses the chance to gain first-hand experience in a wide range of literary activities during a two-week internship with this Paris-based literary institution.More information can be found on our ALSS Postgraduate Study website.
Academic prizes
Every year the Department of English, Communication, Film and Media awards a variety of prizes to our students for academic achievement, generously donated by various companies and organisations:Ian Gordon Prize for the best dissertation in English
Skinner-Young Prize for the best performance on the module Shakespeare and his Contemporaries
John Smith's Bookshop Prize for the best academic achievement in Communication, Film and Media
Justin Wand Memorial Prize for the best performance in any degree with either English or Philosophy in the title

Anglia Ruskin University also offers the Anglia Trust Foundation Scholarship, which enables students to spend a period of time outside the UK in order to undertake a study visit in connection with their chosen courses.
