Shreepali completed her BA (Hons) Politics, Economics and Industrial Relations and MA Media Studies at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff. In 1994 she joined the BBC, during and after which she built up extensive film experience worldwide. She negotiated access to and filmed in sensitive, hostile environments to high-profile political and celebrity arenas and built up a track record of securing commissions and making award winning drama, (including the BAFTA Cymru winning Dawn), and documentaries.

In 2006 she formed Eyeline Films with award winning producer/director Geoffrey Smith. Eyeline's first feature documentary, 'The English Surgeon', premiered at the BFI London film festival to critical acclaim, being described as "...by turns funny, frightening and deeply moving" by The Times. The film went on to tour the international film festival circuit, receiving the award for Best International Feature Documentary at both the SilverDocs and Hot Docs presentations.

With almost 30 broadcast films and BBC 4 Radio documentaries to her name, Shreepali returned to the academic world in the summer of 2008 as Senior Lecturer in Film and Television Production at the Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University.

Shreepali's interest in the storytelling process continues, with a particular focus on the crossover between art and science. She has just completed 'The Golden Window', a documentary arts project in conjunction with CoDE, Rosie Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals) and Eyeline Films. She is also developing the feature On Air.
