Chris studied for his BA at St. Martin's, and gained an MA at the Royal College of Art.

For nearly 20 years he has worked professionally as an illustrator with specialist areas including book covers (4th Estate, Harper Collins, Orion, Bloomsbury), editorial (New Scientist magazine, The Independent on Sunday, G.Q.) and has very wide experience of design and advertising (his clients include Royal Mail, B.T, Unilever and Weetabix).

As a passionate educator, Chris has always retained an involvement with Higher Education, and has enjoyed teaching at Kingston, Brighton, Camberwell and St. Martin's alongside his professional practice.

His work has been exhibited in Japan, Hong Kong, Holland, Ireland and several U.K galleries. In 2007 he appeared on BBC TV discussing collecting and BBC Radio discussing Illustration. His personal interests include collecting cabinets of curiosities, and methods of display and taxonomy.
