Congratulations to MA Children's Book Illustration graduate Jo Empsom, who reached the shortlist of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2013 with her book Rabbityness (Child's Play, 2012).

This is the second consecutive year that a Cambridge School of Art graduate has made the shortlist for the competition. In 2012, No! by Marta Altes and Good Little Wolf by Nadia Shireen were also successful.

The Waterstones Children's Book Prize was created in 2005 to reward and champion new and emerging talent in children's writing. It is unique in being voted for by a panel of the nation's booksellers.
