Art graduates Changing Spaces in Cambridge

A number of recent graduates from Cambridge School of Art have become involved with Changing Spaces, a not for profit organisation whose vision is to promote Cambridge as a creative city. The artists, led by Master of Fine Art graduate Anji Main, take over vacant retail outlets and transform them into temporary gallery spaces.

The project recently caught the eye of the Cambridge Evening News, who published a double-page feature on one of their upcoming exhibitions. Stories Begging to be Told features work by graduates of our BA (Hons) Illustration and MA Children's Book Illustration courses. It is being held in the former Ark shop on Norfolk Street, just around the corner from Anglia Ruskin's Cambridge campus, from 3 May to 9 June 2013.

The front of the building has been redesigned by curator Karin Eklund (MA Children's Book Illustration) into a popup gallery titled 'The Drawing Cube', which will be used for two further exhibitions over the next four months.

Changing Spaces' King Street venue also hosted a recent exhibition titled Dew Line, which featured several of our Fine Art graduates, as part of the Cambridge Sustainability Residency.
