An exhibition by Nick Devison, Jo Love and Mark Shaw

Through invented, found and appropriated images Nick Devison, Jo Love and Mark Shaw each explore the contingent nature of perception within their work.

Nick Devison negotiates a visual language which is simultaneously fixed and equivocal. In a body of large scale prints; grid structures provide apparent coordinates through a fluid and indeterminate 'ground'.

Jo Love reconstructs our reading of the past through an articulation of found and invented images. In a series of large digital prints she creates visual fields which dislocate the viewer from any sense of real known space.

Mark Shaw's work investigates the contradiction between primary source material and identity, stability and meaning. Objects are photographed, rendered unrecognisable and manipulated to assume new fictional identities.

Nick Devison is Course Convener for MA Printmaking and the Master of Fine Arts programme at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge School of Art. Jo Love is lecturer in Fine Art Digital Media at University College Northampton, and Mark Shaw is a visiting lecturer in Fine Art Print at Cambridge School of Art.
