Tea party raises funds for CSA degree show
On March 7 2009, 'The Shop', an alternative art space on Jesus Lane, was transformed by Illustration and Animation students into a 1950s-themed tea party. Tea, cakes, stalls, a '50s style crooner and the suggestion that everybody dressed accordingly all added to a fantastic day.
The event, which was open to the public and was well attended, was organised by Devorah Hall, a third-year illustration student, to raise funds for the forthcoming degree show, which opens on 4 June.
The tea party and live music in the evening raised over £600. Congratulations to all who took part.
