MA Printmaking student exhibits at international conference
Mary Humphrey, an MA Printmaking student with the Cambridge School of Art, has been exhibiting her photographs of the Roma community as part of Romanlar 2012, the Gypsy Lore Society Annual Meeting and Conference on Roma Studies.
Mary, also a graduate of the BA (Hons) Photography course, took the pictures during an Anglia Ruskin Trust Scholarship-funded visit to Transylvania in January 2011. The trip was organised in conjunction with RO-MANAID (a charity that works to benefit disadvantaged communities) after her work was spotted by the charity's director.
Her finished pieces were on show at the conference in Beyoglu Municipal Youth Centre, Istanbul, during September 2012.
