Outstanding Fashion Design graduands showcase their collections at Cambridge boutique

This summer Baska of Cambridge will be giving up window space to two budding fashion designers from Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin University. The graduating students, Katarzyna Juzak and Minghui Yu, were chosen for their exceptional creativity and coherent collections, which they designed for the 2012 Degree Show 'New Dynamics'.

Established more than 15 years ago, Baska is an independent fashion boutique located in Magdalene street, Cambridge, that sells mid and high end collections from Italian and French fashion houses. Marta Wisniewska, their Buyer and Manager, said: "It will be exciting to showcase these innovative, young designers. Clearly, they have been working very hard. We also feel the clothes have the spirit of some of the designers we offer. Minghui Yu's garments remind me of some elements I see in the creations of the French duo M+F Girbaud, and Katarzyna Judaz's collection is reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's bold designs."

You can see more of Katarzyna Juzak and Minghui Yu's collections and their inspiration on the Baska Facebook page. Selected pieces from their collections will be on display at Baska from 8-13 June 2012.

Anglia Ruskin University's Fashion Design students are also exhibiting their collections to the public in a catwalk show on June 14, tickets for which can be bought on the Anglia Ruskin Online Store.
