BA Hons & FdA Photography Pathway leader invited to judge photo competitions
Transport for London have launched a competition to promote cycling in London and Kerstin Hacker has been invited to be one of the judges. The competition encourages photo enthusiasts to send in photographs they have taken while exploring London on a bike. Kerstin is author of the "Discovering London," photography courses, which she taught until recently in colleges throughout London.
Sightsavers International has also launched a new photography competition for pupils aged 11-18. Participants are asked to explore their senses through photography. Graeme Le Saux, former Chelsea FC footballer, and Kerstin are heading up the panel of judges. An exhibition will be held on the South Bank in London in October between 22 and 26 October.
Kerstin documented several projects for sightsavers in Uganda and Zambia. She says: "I am very much looking forward to judging both these competitions. Although they are very different they are both about exploring our relationship with our surroundings through photography."
