The Student Sustainability Print Prize
The first Student Sustainability Print Prize was awarded in 2012 to coincide with the launch of the Global Sustainability Institute at Anglia Ruskin University.
The competition was open to all Printmaking students at Cambridge School of Art. The brief was to create a piece that reflected the aims of the Institute, which will play a critical role in allying academic disciplines across the University together with business and governments to address the urgent need for practical solutions to global sustainability challenges.
The £500 first prize was won by MA Printmaking student Richard Kearns for his work 'Center Parcs Elvis', with two runners-up prizes of £250 also being awarded.
The GSI now hope to run the competition annually. For more information please contact Dr Aled Jones, Director of the Global Sustainability Institute.
