Tony Stringer qualified as a management accountant a number of years ago before working in public service as a project accountant on European projects (long before the Euro). The next 20 years were spent as a Chief Accountant, Financial Director and General Manager of various companies in sectors ranging from silicon chip manufacture through a major motor franchise, to publishing - based in the UK and Africa. After returning from Africa, Tony spent some years as a consultant to a global commodity trading company based in London, New York and Zug.

In last few years Tony has been involved in training and development, specialising in management development and financial training on behalf academic institutions and in his own right. Tony spent many years as a scout leader, and as a youth sports coach became an Olympic Gamesmaker. Tony supports Notts County.
