Mark Cleary is a Senior Lecturer in the Lord Ashcroft International Business School. Mark's commercial experience includes periods as a Chief Foreign Exchange Dealer and Treasury Analyst for a large multinational company. His degrees are in international finance and economics. His research interests lies in financial markets and economic policy. His teaching lies in the more mathematical areas of business including statistics and treasury hedging techniques. His recent publications include articles on the efficiency of bank forecasts in the foreign exchange market and the efficacy of UK industrial policy. He is currently pursuing research into the UK's competitiveness and the role of the credit rating agencies in international finance.

He is a consultant for several large UK based companies and an External Examiner for the University of Lincoln and Senior Consulting Editor for Blackwell publishers.
