Diane Irving lectures on business and employment law at LAIBS. She has a broad academic background, having obtained a BA (Hons) and a BArch from the University of Manchester and an LLB (Hons) and an LLM in Business Law from Coventry University. She is an academic lawyer who is an associate member of the Higher Education Academy, as well as being a registered architect. She is completing a PhD on UK age discrimination legislation. Her research interests centre around aspects of equality, particularly age discrimination against both the young and the old.
