Lianne Miller is Deputy Director for CEDAR (Centre for Enterprise Development and Research) in LAIBS and has operational responsibility for enterprise and entrepreneurial projects internally and internationally, research, and teaching on the BA in Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management.
Her PhD research focus is on systemic thinking and interdependencies with regards to the interplay between entrepreneurial cognition, entrepreneurial leadership, internal stakeholder perception and organisational growth. She is an Organizational Psychologist with extensive international consultancy experience in organisational redesign and development, culture, leadership and management development.
Lianne has run her own skin care business and uses this experience to blend theory and practice in the classroom. Her academic responsibilities include teaching on the BA in Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management, International Business and Research Methods for postgraduates. Together with CEDAR's Entrepreneurs in Residence network, Lianne is able to underpin the students learning in an experiential way.
Lianne is a member of the International Council of Small Business (ICSB) and the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE).

2013: Project Director
'Growth Beyond Borders' is an exciting aspirational joint initiative focusing on the promotion and support of productive entrepreneurial activity with the aim of increasing the level of cross-border trade between the UK and South Africa initially. This program is supported and facilitated by ABSA Enterprise Development, business accelerator, Seed Engine, as well as Stellenbosch University and CEDAR. Rigorous academic learning underpins the program in order to ensure that the entrepreneurs benefit and derive value from the opportunity.
