Kristyna comes from the beautiful city of Prague in the heart of Europe. She has obtained her BSc in Economics and Management at Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, but her passion for travel and tourism research brought her to the UK where she has lived for the past five years.

Kristyna has got a Masters degree in Tourism, Development and Policy from the University of Exeter (2008) and has been granted their Business School PhD studentship based on her study results and an innovative research proposal. Less than three years later, Kristyna is close to completing her PhD in the Centre for Sport, Leisure and Tourism Research at the University of Exeter.

While undertaking her PhD, Kristyna has been appointed module tutor of the Managing Tourism Environment module and degree tutor of the MSc Tourism, Development and Policy course. Within these roles, she was able to gain a considerable experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level to students coming from different cultural backgrounds. Kristyna is also an Associate of the Higher Education Academy (AHEA), which evidences her professional development in relation to teaching and supporting learning.

Her current teaching responsibilities at Anglia Ruskin University include teaching Ecotourism, Sustainable Tourism Solutions, Research Methods for Managers in an International Context, and Undergraduate Major Projects. Kristyna is also module leader for the Tourism Marketing and Environmental Issues and Policies module.
