Kevin is the Pathway Leader for the Certificate in Leadership & Management which ultimately leads students to full membership of the CIPD. His background is wide and varied encompassing time as a Royal Naval Officer aboard HMS Brilliant, acting as Middle East Business Manager for Perkins Engines based in Pakistan, India and Indonesia and operating in a strategic adult learning role in the public sector. His academic interests focus around leadership and teams. His qualifications include a first degree from City University in London, a MBA from Leicester Business School and his PhD awarded in Management Learning from University of Lancaster. His research interests are focussing on developing a new approach to understanding how successful teams seem to generate a shared mental model of their world. He also operates his own consultancy which ensures his teaching is current and relevant to his students. He enjoys all team sports - especially rugby union, which he coaches and plays to a slow tempo!
