Hassaan is a Lecturer in Finance and Accounting at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Cambridge. Prior to commencing his Lectureship at Anglia Ruskin University, Hassaan was studying for a PhD in Finance at Durham University. Hassaan's principal research interest lies in the field of Corporate Finance and impact upon transatlantic financial markets. His research primarily investigates the impact of criminal penalties and litigation on corporate risk-taking behaviour and financial performance of corporate firms listed in the US and Europe. His research requires a frequent liaison with transatlantic organisations to analyse their investment strategies. Hassaan has a particular expertise and interest in corporate governance reforms from a risk-taking perspective.
Hassaan continues to present academic papers at numerous national and international conferences. He is also a member of the Royal Economic Society and Associate of the Higher Education Academy.
Outside of work, Hassaan enjoys English Literature, Baroque, Renaissance and Classical Opera, and watching Arsenal.
