Swetketu Patnaik is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS), Cambridge, where he teaches courses in International Business and Strategic Management. Before joining LAIBS, he held a post-doctoral fellow position in the Department of International Management, TU Kaiserslautern, Germany. He has a PhD in Corporate Strategy and Policy from University of Liverpool and an MA in Organisation Studies from University of Warwick. Prior to moving into academia Ketu worked in the pharmaceutical industry in India. He has taught a range of Corporate Strategy and International Business based subjects to students at different levels in different universities in India, UK, USA and Germany.

Broadly Ketu's primary research interest is to explore and understand change / evolution of social systems. His doctoral research focused on studying dynamic interaction between structural and relational elements at multiple levels over time to explain evolution of international R&D collaborations in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry. Apart from his interest in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry, he is also interested in studying development of new products and services and regulatory norms in different counties in the banking and insurance sectors, automobile industry and public health sector. He is an active member of the AIB (Academy of International Business) and EGOS (European Group on Organization Studies) networks.
