Brynn Deprey is part of the Centre for Enterprise Development and Research in LAIBS and her research interests focus on small and medium sized enterprise (SME) internationalisation, the service sector, and fostering entrepreneurial behaviour. She is the course leader for the BA (Hons) Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management. Her current teaching responsibilities encompass undergraduate modules, including Foundations of Enterprise, High Level Skills, and Sustainable Management Futures.
She holds a PhD from the Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS), Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Her PhD thesis, entitled 'The Internationalisation Process of Small to Medium-Sized Management Consultancy Firms in the UK', examines the motivations, challenges and critical success factors involved with international activities. The findings highlight the relevance of intangible resources, the firms' skills, competencies and networking capabilities, as integral to successful internationalisation.
Brynn is also a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE). Prior to joining Anglia Ruskin University, she worked as a researcher in the Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.
