“My PhD research has enabled me to better understand the constraints and challenges faced by professionals trying to develop cutting edge leadership programmes. These initiatives are not based on the old paradigm of the heroic all knowing and seeing visionary leader, but on developing people who can enable and work with others across organisation and sector boundaries to address real everyday social and economic problems, and design services and delivery systems around the changing needs of citizens and communities which we serve.
