Seasonal Researcher Exchange - series helps PhD students to share insights

Over the coming months, the Lord Ashcroft International Business School will be putting together the 'Seasonal Researcher Exchange' series. This is an opportunity for all our Cambridge and Chelmsford PhD researchers to share insights about their research, either from a general perspective or with regard to a specific part of their research i.e. methodology, in order to seek expert feedback.

How it will work

There will be a programme of four events split over the yearly seasonal periods: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. All PhD researchers will be given an opportunity to talk about their research (approx. 30 minutes) in front of LAIBS's thriving research community and an expert panel of academics in your field, who will provide constructive feedback, useful resources and guidance advices on all aspects of your research.

This will particularly be useful for those who are:

  • At the beginning of their research, looking for expert guidance
  • Considering OR preparing to present at a conference, or in preparation of the Viva
  • Hoping to submit an article on their research findings
  • Wishing to develop their presentation and communication skills
  • Wishing to develop their academic presence and potential for academic collaboration

As an additional incentive we may be looking to record presentations. This could be an excellent career development opportunity.

How the series may evolve

If successful, the series could in the future engage with other university research institutes and faculties, including perhaps the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
