Nita Clarke

The Government-backed Engage for Success movement came to Essex on Friday 26th April for an all-day workshop at Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Chelmsford campus. The event, which was attended by over 80 people from across the public and private sectors, focused on advancing the understanding, development and deployment of employee engagement in UK workplaces.

On the day, leading employee engagement specialists, including Co-chair of the Employee Engagement Taskforce; Nita Clarke and LAIBS Director of Corporate Education; Jon Salkeld, covered the following topics:

  • how employee engagement can drive economic success;
  • the links between employee engagement and customer satisfaction;
  • why engagement should be critically important to senior leaders;
  • how engagement contributes to employees' health and wellbeing;
  • why the voice of employees matters.

Attendees were also encouraged to network and interact throughout the event, discussing challenges and sharing ideas and suggestions to improve employee engagement in their workplaces.

The Engage for Success event was thoroughly refreshing and inspiring. I have never been amongst so many fellow professionals who genuinely love what they do; the atmosphere as a result was buoyant.

Engage for Success is a movement committed to the idea that there is a better way to work, a better way to enable personal growth, organisational growth and ultimately growth for Britain by releasing more of the capability and potential of people at work.
