Accounting students from Anglia Ruskin University's Lord Ashcroft International Business School in Chelmsford achieved an 80% pass rate in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) December 2012 exams compared with an average of 45% for the 200,000 students who sat the exams worldwide.

Such success follows the start of a programme of development of accounting and finance courses at the Business School which includes full time, part time and block release programmes for professional qualifications, degrees, masters and CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

This exam success and course expansion has contributed to over 90% of Anglia Ruskin Accounting students obtaining employment or moving on to on further career development having successfully completed their courses of study.

An independent survey of ACCA lecturers indicated a 95% rating for enthusiasm and knowledge which is reinforced by their involvement in a number of research projects which will ensure that the curriculum reflects the latest developments in a fast changing economic environment.
