A high quality learning experience awaits you at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School!

The Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) is one of the largest business schools in the East of England, with nearly 100 full-time teaching staff and approximately 6,000 students from over 100 countries.

Our striking and award-winning business school building in Chelmsford as well as the new built in Cambridge offer the most advanced learning technologies. LAIBS is well-recognised as a centre for business education and training by students, employers and professional bodies alike.

Our philosophy

What makes us stand out is that we are determined to root our courses in the real world of business: many of them blend sound academic theory with solid management practice. To ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of management practice, and thus entirely relevant to the contemporary world of commerce, we forge close links with the business community and enter into partnerships with a wide variety of businesses and public-service organisations.

Our courses

In addition to our standard part-time courses, we offer a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses which can be taken on a part-time basis, by joining in with full-time classes. This might mean that the course timetable cannot be fit into one full day but, by selecting your modules, you should be able to organise your studies into no more than two days per week.

What our students have to say:

Wendy Compton

BA (Hons) Tourism Management | 3rd year (2010)

The library on campus is fantastic - the amount of literature available is astonishing. The lecture rooms are immaculate and generally all amenities are well-maintained.

Shane Langthorne

Master of Business Administration | Graduate (2010)

I have found the course at Anglia Ruskin very interesting. The modules studied were interesting and challenging and the benefits to my working life have been significant, with much of the class based learning involving discussion and task based activities. Studying units from all the different areas of business enabled me and the other group members to better appreciate the different facets of the business environment in an holistic way. The group was very diverse, and the skills and backgrounds of all the different members enriched the studies and often led to some lively debates.
