Community Engagement
We are committed to active engagement with our local communities. Our aim is to develop positive and mutually beneficial relationships with local community stakeholders. These include our neighbours, local residents and community groups; voluntary and charity organisations and local government in Cambridgeshire and Essex.
We aim to promote and support education, be good neighbours, exchange knowledge, experience and skills and open up our campuses and resources.

Anglia Ruskin and the environment
We are firmly committed to sustainability and are conscious of our impact on the natural environment. We were awarded a First in the Green League 2011 by People and Planet. The league table is based on 10 environmental criteria, both policy and performance related. It incorporates data obtained through the Freedom of Information Act 2000, including the percentage of waste recycled and CO2 emissions for each individual institution.
Through our effects to reduce our environmental impact we have had IS0 14001 Environmental Management Standard accreditation, an internationally recognised standard, since 2009.
