We will measure your body stats, manage your activities and monitor your progress throughout an eight week period. In addition we will ensure a member of staff is on hand to offer encouragement and advice at least once a week during this time.

Heart & Sole
Take a 30 minute healthy walk whilst enjoying the river banks during your lunch break. Led by qualified walk leaders every Thursday throughout the year and combines exercise with relaxation.Meet at the Mildmay Sports Hall, Thursdays at 12 noon for a 12.15pm start.

The GP Exercise Referral Scheme is available at Mildmay, Anglia Ruskin University, which was originally developed in partnership with the Mid Essex Primary Care Trust, Chelmsford Borough Council, local doctors and medical professionals.The scheme involves GPs and Practice Nurses referring patients who they feel would benefit from leading a more active lifestyle.
The basis of the scheme is to provide a personalised exercise programme for those being referred. Overseen by our two qualified professionals, the scheme will help to improve your health, with the aim of preventing or reducing the onset of illness.
Staff and students who feel that they are not healthy enough to get started on physical activity, why not come along and have a chat to either William or Jo.
The cost is £15.00 for your initial assessment and £20.00 which covers your use of the facilities for the 12 week scheme. Please also provide one passport size photo.
