Anglia Ruskin University is committed to support and promote Fairtrade and was awarded Fairtrade University Status on 26th February 2007 in recognition of our achievements.

To become a Fairtrade University five goals must be met by the University and the Student Union:

The creation of a Fairtrade policy
Introduction of a steering committee to oversee the policy
The sale of Fairtrade foods in all shops, restaurants and bars on campus
Serve Fairtrade foods at meetings hosted by the University and Students' Union
Promote Fairtrade across the campus
