YMCA

The Cambridge YMCA reserves two floors of its building exclusively for Anglia Ruskin students. The YMCA is a charitable organisation committed to helping young people.

The bedrooms

It has 28 standard bedrooms with shared shower room and toilet facilities and 5 en-suite bedrooms.
  • Shower rooms - if your room is not en-suite you will have a sink in your room and share a shower room and toilet
  • Furniture - single bed, desk, chair and wardrobe
  • Internet - included in rent
  • TV - no TV in the room, but there is a communal area with a TV available for all of the users of the building

The kitchens

You will share a kitchen with other Anglia Ruskin students. Generally 5 students share the kitchen. Each kitchen has a dining area. The YMCA provides a microwave, kettle and toaster, along with a basic set of kitchen utensils such as frying pan, saucepans and cutlery.

The building

You will be about 5 minutes walk from campus, in a great location. The lower floors of the building have non-University tenants. All residents share the use of a communal lounge and coffee bar. There is an on-site gym which you can use for a membership fee that is payable to the YMCA.

  • Bicycles - external storage
  • Cars - no car parking
  • Laundrette - there is a coin-operated laundrette on the ground floor
