Bridget's and Nightingale Halls

Bridget's and Nightingale Halls are two adjoining off-campus halls of residence. They are within a 5 minute walk of the historic city center with shops, bars and restaurants, and the University is located less than 1 mile away - approximately a 15 minute walk.

  • Shower rooms - you will have your own sink in your bedroom, and share a shower room and toilets.
  • Furniture - single bed, desk, chair and wardrobe
  • Internet - 512kbps (0.5 MB) wired broadband included in the rent
  • The kitchen - 10-13 students share each kitchen. Kitchens have a fridge, freezer, microwave and cooker. They do not include a kettle or toaster

Located just a short walk from the campus, and on the edge of the City, Bridget's and Nightingale Halls offer a convenient location for both studying, shopping and social facilities.

Support and services

  • Residential Assistants - are available on-call whenever the main Residential Service office is closed
  • Security - CCTV
  • Adapted rooms - some of the ground floor rooms in Bridget's feature adaptations and are available for students with medical needs
  • Cleaning in common areas - the stairs and corridors will be cleaned, you will need to clean your own bedroom, shared kitchen and bathrooms

Occupancy agreements

  • Academic year occupancy agreements run for 39 weeks and three nights from mid September 2013 until late June 2014
  • Rent for 2013/14 is £93.21 for small / standard rooms and £95.34 for a large room. Rent includes bills to a generous threshold
  • The property is rented directly through Anglia Ruskin
