New and prospective students

Overview

We want you to be happy in every aspect of your life at our university, and that means finding a home from home which is friendly, comfortable and safe.
  • In Cambridge, we have halls of residence on and off campus, and shared houses within two miles of campus that our university manages. We also offer halls that are managed by organisations we partner with, where you would live with other Anglia Ruskin students. Cambridge halls and houses.
  • In Chelmsford, we have the Student Village on campus, with flats of 3, 5 or 6 students. You'll have your own room and share a kitchen, hallway and sometimes a bathroom (although most rooms are en-suite, with a shower and toilet). Chelmsford Student Village
  • Nursing, midwifery and ODP students have the option to apply for NHS accommodation, close to the hospital where your course placement is. Hospital accommodation
  • In Peterborough, your options vary depending on whether you are studying a course that is eligible for hospital accommodation. Peterborough accommodation
  • University Centre Harlow students - Harlow College does not have on-campus accommodation, but students can apply to stay in the Student Village in Chelmsford (although please note there is no car parking there). The college offers help with finding private sector housing in Harlow. University Centre Harlow
  • Private sector housing is the perfect choice for more independence while sharing a house with other students in a community setting, or for couples/families. After your first year you'll almost certainly need to find accommodation off campus, in private sector housing. We provide plenty of help, including the Studentpad website, house hunting days and lists of accommodation agencies. Private sector house hunting
