Anglia Law School

Cigdem Ulger

LLM International Business Law

The course will no doubt enhance my employment opportunities. The University has also provided me with other employment-enhancing opportunities: Eversheds, the third largest Law Firm in the world, is acting as my mentor; I am also working as a volunteer in the Citizens Advice Bureau.
What Our Students Say

In order to help our students enhance their employability we have developed our curriculum using feedback from and engagement with employers and professional bodies. Our qualifying law degree now offers the opportunity to achieve a second qualification, the Higher Diploma in Paralegal Practice from the National Association of Licensed Paralegals if you choose to study particular modules. We also offer a Entrepreneurship in a Legal Context module at Level 3. In addition we offer:
  • 'Employability Days' for students to meet legal professionals and a range of other employers to gain insight into a variety of careers for law graduates
  • a mentoring scheme which offers year 2 students the opportunity to work alongside and gain help and advice from external professionals
  • an excellent Employability Service that will help you find the right training placement and make the transition into practice, as well as specialist in-course career development for LPC students

Dr Karl Dembicki

Legal Practice Course

The strong connections that the faculty enjoys with the legal community and the focus on employability was soon apparent. Within a month of starting the LPC a respected Cambridge firm came on to campus to recruit paralegals through a rigorous set of interviews. I was successful in obtaining a position as a paralegal in the firm's private client department and gained invaluable experience. After completing the LPC the firm offered me a training contract which I was delighted to accept.
