Education

Teacher

We are the largest provider of teacher education in the East of England and have been training teachers and working in partnership with schools and colleges across the region in Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and some London boroughs for over four decades. Every October we hold a teaching recruitment fair. This is a tremendously popular and well-attended event. Last year we had representation from 25 organisations and talks from leading professionals. It is a fantastic opportunity for final year students to meet with potential employers. We already have the event booked for this year - 31st October 2012.

We value the contribution of our partner schools very highly and work collaboratively to produce inspiring teachers of the future. Many of our trainee teachers are subsequently employed by our partner schools, and schools in the Eastern Region. These partnerships are extremely valuable when you consider that 1/3 of all graduates who got jobs last year had already worked for their employer.

Thank you for the careers session yesterday morning. I found it really useful to clarify the routes into teacher training and gave me the motivation and confidence to act now.
