To organize the office to support a busy technical team by:
  • arranging appropriate office equipment and consumables
  • providing support functions, such as:

  • running reception and break room services

  • supporting technical personnel as requested
  • ensuring tidy and professional presentation of office and communal areas

Working Week
35 hours per week:
nominally 5 days Monday to Saturday
max 8 hours per day between 08:00 and 19:00

This is a position for someone with good computer, English and mathematics skills who wants an opportunity to develop with a small technically-based business. The apprenticeship provides an opportunity to try many tasks within a company and gives the possibility of progression into a more specialized managerial role.
Ability and enthusiasm are more important than paper qualifications
Additional European language would be advantageous

Sales and Marketing Role

Cambridge and surrounding area. Earn some extra income by finding 50+ new supporters in your local area for the Beds, Cambs and Northants (BCN) Wildlife Trust, by using the tried and trusted 'Soft Approach' formula.

Flexible, part-time (approx. initial requirement of 16 hours per week evenings/weekends) involves walking around the more prosperous local areas, speaking respectfully and briefly to residents to ask a simple Yes/No question and distributing and collecting information booklets.

Unlike most other fundraising opportunities, there is no selling or persuasion or guilt tripping involved, and after a successfully completed 2-week trial period, there are no targets to meet - you can work at your own pace.

Full training is given at the BCN Wildlife Trust HQ.

Essential requirements:
  • a genuine interest in wildlife conservation or environmental issues
  • to have access to transport - car (or bicycle, if you live in a large town)
  • age 18+ (to meet requirements of the Institute of Fundraising)
  • good, confident, all-round communication skills, both written and spoken word

Desirable requirements:
  • Sales or Marketing or Fundraising experience OR experience of working/volunteering in the wildlife conservation sector OR membership of a conservation body e.g. RSPB, National Trust, Wildlife/Woodland Trust, WWF etc etc

An hourly rate of £7 an hour is paid during a 2 week Trial period. Thereafter, performance related earnings - typically you'll earn £500-£800 per month

Role and Responsibility
As a Sony product expert you will be assigned to a specified store where you will work to drive sales and brand advocacy within your category.

Adopting the Sony approach to selling, you will confidently engage with consumers to understand their needs and translate these into engaging, interactive product demonstrations that bring Sony products to life through a features, advantages and benefits approach, ultimately securing the sale.

You will take ownership of your working environment and ensure that it is representative of brand values at all times, encouraging store staff to support in your absence.

Eyes and Ears reporting; Completion of required business reporting tools, within the specified time scales, providing quantitative and qualitative feedback

Family Homecare is a domicillary care agency based in Chelmsford which covers the whole of the mid-Essex area. We provide care for clients in their own home.

This type of work would ideally suit student nurses/mid-wives but would be open to any reliable student with their own means of transport.

We have peak demand during evenings and weekends so this type of work would allow students to fund their studies without adversely affecting them. Transport is a must, even if by pedal cycle as some calls are early and some late. Public transport is too unreliable and financially unworkable.

We pay: 6.50 GBP per hour - weekdays
8.50 GBP per hour - Saturdays
9.50 GBP per hour - Sundays.
In addition we pay 2.00GBP per visit towards travel costs.

Lodestar is an independent and innovative festival set in the Cambridgeshire countryside (about 15 minutes drive from Cambridge centre). Social media and marketing interns

As a 'KIDS Short Break Worker' you could be supporting disabled children and young people to enjoy these activities whilst giving their families a break from their caring role. You don't need any previous experience as you will have access to a suite of e-learning, an induction and the support of a local manager. What you do need is a positive outlook and a desire to make a positive difference to the lives of disabled children and young people. For this we offer flexible working hours and competitive rates of pay and a mileage allowance.

Your own car is essential to the role. All applicants must be over 18 and are subject to an enhanced CRB check. You are required to provide two referees to support your application. One of which will be your last or present employer, or a principal/head teacher if this is your first job.
