I was only recently diagnosed with my hearing problem even though I suspect that I have had it since childhood (I am now 45) and it was lovely to meet somebody and speak (over the telephone and in email correspondence) to a team of people who are kind, sympathetic and really could not have done more to help. Also to have somebody understand the problem completely and to know and offer the kind of help I will need, and offer alternatives if that particular avenue does not work, was wonderful.
