All data is held securely by the Development & Alumni Office and will be treated confidentially. Unless you tell us otherwise, the data may be made available to our academic and administrative departments. Data will not be disclosed to external organisations, other than those acting as agents for Anglia Ruskin University on alumni related projects. Anglia Ruskin may also provide information to certain external surveying companies working on behalf of such organizations as the Higher Educational Survey Agency (HESA) or University funding bodies.

The data will be used for a full range of alumni activities, including:

• mailing of the alumni magazine and other University publications
• promotion of benefits and services available to alumni
• notification of alumni events
• friend-finding

Data may also be used in University fundraising programmes.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act you have the right to object to the use of your data for any of the above purposes. If you do wish your name to be removed from the mailing list for any of these areas please contact the Development & Alumni Office.
