Survive and Thrive
Free & subsidised activities to help businesses and individuals sail through the economic storm.A programme of bite-sized support is launched to help move business and people forwards.
In response to the recession, experts at Anglia Ruskin are offering a comprehensive programme of support, aimed at helping businesses, individuals, graduates and start-ups to weather the economic storm. The 'Survive and Thrive' programme is a series of free of charge or subsidised seminars devised to help businesses and individuals adapt to the radically changed economic conditions. It has been designed to help businesses and individuals not only to maintain position during the challenging conditions but to become more competitive; and so in a stronger position when the economy does eventually pick up.
With a regional forecast of 170,000 job losses by 2012, the need for individuals to keep their skills up-to-date is more important than ever. The support offered has been devised to help people to achieve results at work, gain confidence and improve job prospects with specialist training and business networking opportunities.
Speaking about the planned events, Chris Davies, Assistant Business Director, from RDCS at Anglia Ruskin University said:
Small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) dominate the region and are more vulnerable during downturns. We have a strong track record of working with businesses to help them grow and it is vital that we use our expertise and resources to help them survive and prosper during these difficult times.
These seminars will give businesses and individuals the confidence they need to take the next step-change towards survival, career stability or enhancement - our qualified experts will give all the advice needed and at minimal or no cost.
The Anglia Ruskin Survive and Thrive programme is free or heavily subsidised for businesses, individuals, graduates and start-ups located in the East of England. Anglia Ruskin has a strong track record of working with businesses and has been successful in securing government funding for the programme, matched with its own resources until September 2010.
