Anglia Ruskin 21st anniversary celebration

We're turning 21, so please save the date!

In 2013 it's 21 years since Anglia Ruskin gained university status, so we would like to invite our alumni to help us celebrate at free events on both our Chelmsford and Cambridge campuses.

Cambridge Campus - Saturday May 11th 2013 - East Road, Cambridge, CB1 1PT - Cambridge Bookings
Chelmsford Campus - Saturday June 15th 2013 - Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford, CM1 1SQ - Chelmsford Bookings

Both days will follow a similar format, with a different guest speaker for each campus. Also:

  • Our Student Ambassadors will be offering tours of the campus, allowing you to see the buildings and facilities both new and old. There will also be the opportunity to explore areas of the campus separately if you wish.

  • Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Thorne will be there personally to present a welcome address. You can expect to hear a brief description of how your University may have changed since you graduated, the exciting new directions we are going in and the current developments that can make you proud to be part of the Anglia Ruskin family.

  • A notable fellow alumnus will deliver an optional talk. We are delighted to announce that Dr Nick Crane, eminent alumnus, geographer, journalist, author, and broadcaster will be speaking at the Cambridge campus - think Coast, Great British Journeys and Map Man. In Chelmsford we are delighted that our Chancellor, Lord Ashcroft KCMG PC, will be our guest speaker.

  • A buffet lunch with light refreshments will also be available.

We want to see as many of you as possible get involved in some good old-fashioned nostalgia, whether it has been just one year since you were here or rather more than you would care to remember! With that in mind, please contact your old friends and classmates and make sure they are coming as well. It's the perfect opportunity to get back in touch, to see what's changed (or not!) and get together to relive those memories.
